Hi, I'm Taylor!

I'm a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) where I study Information Sciences (HCI/UX Pathway) and Brain and Cognitive Science. Although my primary interests lie in human-computer interaction, I also find myself curious about linguistics, urban design, health technology, and cybersecurity.
As a designer, I am most drawn to the investigation and the synthesis of information because I love to listen to people tell their stories. By utilizing a mixed method research approach, I hope to gain a better understanding and outlook about how the world works. My intent is to ensure that my designs are desired, meaningful, accessible, and inclusive. Although I do take a human-centered approach, I do like to incorporate post-human frameworks to think about broader implications.
At heart, I consider myself a creative. When I'm not designing interfaces, I love making french beaded flowers, documenting memories in my junk journal, and doing my own version of "Chopped" with whatever I can find in my kitchen.
